Voiceover

VOICE ANNOUNCING:
Darby has been involved in voiceover and dialog recording since her college radio days as a producer, writer and voice artist.
She has been the voice of Tellme Networks (now Microsoft) since their inception at the height of the Silicon Valley boom. Over the past 10+ years she has voiced hundreds of thousands, if not a million audio files. Her voice is heard by millions of people every day.
As an early employee of the company in the late 90′s, Darby helped design and patent an early version of Tellme’s flagship product 1-800-555-TELL. As part of their creative team she was integral in the creation of the Telephone 1.0 sound, the style and sound of which has been mimicked by the telephony industry (and SNL parodied) and continues to this day.
Her voice was the model used to create the Tellme Networks speech engine, subsequently nicknamed Darbot. She proudly continues to collaborate with people that are much smarter than she, who work toward voicing the machines of the future.
A sampling of companies Darby has recorded voicover for include Tellme: 1-800-555-TELL, AT&T Toll Free Directory Assistance: 1-800-555-1212, UPS: 1-800-PICK-UPS, 411: AT&T wireless, 1-800-FIDELITY, Hartford, Hewitt, Orbitz, and Ford SYNC in-car audio, among others.
SPORTS ANNOUNCING:
Darby returns for her second year as a voice announcer for one of the most storied teams in gymnastics, the University of Utah Red Rocks, for the 2012 season at The Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Utah Gymnastics (Pac-12) holds the highest attendance record in U.S. Collegiate Gymnastics, continually sets attendance records and averages over 10,000 fans per event.
